Anglers on Loch Ken– You can win a £50 Voucher!

As part of the Galloway Glens Landscape Partnership ‘Loch Ken Fisheries Study’, Galloway Fisheries Trust are offering an incentive to anglers who fill in a short survey known as the ‘Loch Ken Angling Record’ on any occasion they fish Loch Ken between now and July 2017.

This survey forms the citizen science element of fish data collection being undertaken on Loch Ken as part of this project. By completing and returning a Loch Ken Angling Record to the GFT office (by post or email) or one of the participating ticket outlets (New Galloway Newsagents, Post Office and Loch Ken Holiday Park), you will be entered into a monthly prize draw for a £50 voucher at McCowan’s in Castle Douglas.

GFT would like to thank all anglers who have taken part so far and are pleased to announce the winners of the November and December tackle vouchers as Gordon Houston – who completed the short survey during a day’s pike fishing on the loch; and Steve Wood – who completed a survey during an angling match on the loch at the start of December.

To take part in this project, please fill in a Loch Ken Angling Record, which you can download from the GFT website at www.gallowayfisheriestrust.org/loch-ken-fisheries-study.php, complete and return to rowan@gallowayfisheriestrust.org
