23rd August, 2-4pm
The Gallery at Laurieston
An event hosted by Phil McMenemy at The Gallery at Laurieston. Over coffee and biscuits, Phil, a celebrated local artist and photographer, discusses the uniqueness of the Ken/Dee valley, focussing on the balance between the natural and man-made landscape in the area, and the linkages provided by the river running from source to sea.
Using a series of his prints as illustration, Phil aims to give an insight into how man’s impact on the valley influences his work as a photographer and the challenges and opportunities this presents. An opportunity to hear the background behind some of this local artist’s most popular prints, this will be of interest to anyone who is interested in the visual arts and what makes the local landscape unique.
