Venue: Gordon Memorial Hall, St Ninians’ Castle Douglas.
Andrew Nicholson, Dumfries & Galloway Council’s Archaeologist and local history enthusiast, has been packing out venues across the region with his easily accessible and informative introductions to archaeology. In association with the Galloway Glens Scheme, Andrew will be giving an overview of the Archaeology of the Ken Valley and what this tells us about human settlement through the ages. A whistle-stop tour of the last 8,000 years, this will be of appeal to anyone with an interest in archaeology or simply the history of the area.
