Greenland White Fronted Geese

This project will raise awareness of Greenland White Fronted geese amongst local communities, businesses and visitors. Another output will be pilot advisory farm plans, created with relevant farmers, for advocacy to the Scottish Government agriculture department. This flock is one of only two flocks in the whole of southern Scotland, with none in England; the Galloway Glens birds are therefore very special and merit conservation, promotion and celebration in the area. This project will achieve this through tagging, education outreach work and targeted habitat improvements.
