It is with great excitement that we can now formally launch the Scheme’s website – www.gallowayglens.org. The new website provides an excellent overview of the aims of the scheme, introduces the project development process and timescales, provides all necessary scheme documentation and publishes other information such as meeting minutes.
The Galloway Glens Development Officer, McNabb Laurie, said “The launch of this website is another significant step towards publicising and spreading the word about the Galloway Glens Scheme. The Scheme has provisionally secured £2.7 million from Heritage Lottery Fund to contribute towards projects taking place up and down the valley, from Carsphairn to Kirkcudbright and the next year will be spent refining the list of projects that will be supported. Anyone interested in any more detail about the scheme should visit the website (www.gallowayglens.org) or feel free to get in touch.”
The website includes an overview of the project review process if you have a proposal which could form part of the scheme and a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section which aims to answer any queries you may have. You can also sign up for the Galloway Glens Newsletter which, with our social media activity, means you can be kept abreast of progress.
